Juls Budau takes her prescription hydromorphone three times per day: a half tablet shortly after waking up, while making her morning coffee; another in the afternoon, while wrapping up work; and a third in the evening as she readies for bed.The Victoria resident says that this regimen has played an important role in helping her stop using the street drugs that she had once been dependent on. Picking up her prescription once a week means she is able to focus on her work as a research assistant, and on finishing her master’s degree in social work.
