Hour 4 of Ottawa Now for Wed. April 23rd, 2025
April 23, 2025

As you heard earlier in today’s program, the province is cracking down on the financial accountability of provincial school boards. Ottawa’s largest school board is one of the biggest names on this list, and it’s not good news if they fail the next steps. In a statement released by the Ministry of Education, an investigator will be assigned to validate the school board’s current financial position. Then, they will recommend whether the Ministry should take charge of the situation. OCDSB Trustee Lynn Scott says the school board will fully cooperate with the pending investigation, maintaining their commitment to financial accountability and transparency in the process. She joins Kristy Cameron in Hour 4. Plus, we deliver the latest breaking news as it happens, right here on CFRA’s Ottawa Now.
