Traffic impacts around Ottawa City Hall Thursday morning

Upcoming traffic impacts around Ottawa City Hall on Thursday, May 1 The City advises residents to expect traffic impacts and disruptions around Ottawa City Hall on the morning of Thursday, May 1 due to an expected demonstration.   The following impacts and closures will occur between 9 and 11:30 am:
  • Laurier Eastbound will be closed between Elgin and Nicholas
  • Laurier sidewalk (south side) will be closed from the pedestrian crossing at City Hall to Nicholas
  • Laurier eastbound cycling lane will be closed from Elgin to Nicholas
  City Hall Garage The Laurier Avenue West entrance of the City parking garage will be closed from 9am to 11:30am.   Traffic updates Residents can continue to check our online traffic map and the City of Ottawa’s traffic Twitter account for up-to-date information on traffic delays.   Parking enforcement The City of Ottawa By-law and Regulatory Services (BLRS) will have officers out on the streets ensuring all parking regulations are observed by residents and visitors.
