Carney, Canada's premiers to gather for meetings in Saskatchewan in June

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says Canada's premiers and Prime Minister Mark Carney will meet in person in Saskatchewan. After a virtual meeting with Carney and the other premiers, Ford said Carney is extending the western provinces an olive branch, starting with holding that meeting in Saskatchewan. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith recently raised the spectre of her province separating from Canada. (May 7, 2025)
