While visiting Ottawa’s parks, local parkgoers and Canadian tourists could soon receive permission to enjoy an alcoholic beverage on the premises. And not just later this Summer, but throughout the Summer months. CTV’s Josh Pringle delivers the details. Meantime, five former members of Canada's 2018 World Juniors roster will now face sexual assault charges in a trial-by-judge setting. This comes as the jury was abruptly dismantled by the judge on Friday morning, marking the second jury breakup in a matter of weeks. Inside a hotel event hall in the centre of the province, 12 Alberta flags hung around the large room. But nowhere to be found was the red and white maple leaf. Around 400 people had gathered at the Red Deer Resort and Casino Conference Centre for a town hall hosted by the newly re-named Republican Party of Alberta to promote the province’s growing independence movement.
