Ontario will strike agreements with Saskatchewan, Alberta and Prince Edward Island to reduce trade barriers between their provinces ahead of the first ministers’ meeting, which is expected to focus on fast-tracking major infrastructure projects and reducing red tape.The memorandums of understanding Premier Doug Ford will sign with his counterparts are the latest non-binding agreements struck between Ontario and other provinces to remove regulatory hurdles that stifle the flow of goods and workers between jurisdictions. The details of the MOUs have not yet been publicly released.
The warnings come amid ongoing measles outbreaks in multiple provinces, with camps being told to keep immunization records on hand in the event of an infection.
