Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Mon. May 26th, 2025

May 26, 2025
There was a wave of concern this afternoon after an amphibious tour boat broke down in the middle of the Ottawa River. Gatineau Fire had no choice but to rescue all passengers and crew members aboard the Lady Dive IV. There were roughly 50 people on board, and thankfully all of them lived to tell this tense tale. We deliver the details in Hour 2 with CTV Ottawa digital reporter Will Eltherington. Meantime, a Powassan man was delivered a 2-year sentence behind bars after stealing the precious 'Roaring Lion' portrait. CFRA's Chris Holski has more on that. And as the Royal Family visits Canada's Capital, the RCMP Musical Ride will be playing a key role in Tuesday's historic procession. Kristy Cameron is joined alongside Superintendent Sebastien Brillon, the Officer-In-Charge of the RCMP Musical Ride, as they prepare for the big event.
