The City of Ottawa is still planning to fly the Stars and Stripes on Independence Day this Friday, regardless of trade tensions between the United States and Canada.

Starting this Summer, as part of a new pilot project, certain stores in select Quebec cities will be open late on weekends. Gatineau is among the list of participants, with the province citing its geographical location near the Ontario border as a primary reason.
