Bill 9 serves as the Ford government’s latest initiative to crack down on so-called misbehaving municipal politicians. Ahead of the 2026 Municipal Elections, Ontario’s Premier is hoping to have those regulations in place before the ballot boxes open. However, critics say these new rules are still terribly flawed, and this bill is ultimately going to miss the mark. We dig deeper in Hour 2 with Aird and Berlis municipal lawyer John Mascarin and Ontario Liberal MPP Stephen Blais.
