Air Canada updates: What happens next after flight attendants rejected deal?

Unionized Air Canada flight attendants rejected a recent wage agreement that has pushed the ongoing labour dispute into a new phase.
The air carrier and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), which represents about 10,000 flight attendants, will now turn to mediation in hopes of reaching a new collective agreement after the previous one expired at the end of March.
Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand said Canada is “evaluating” its relationship with Israel, calling its attack on Hamas leadership in Qatar unacceptable.But she stopped short of echoing the call from the EU for a suspension of trade with Israel or sanctions, citing instead Canada’s plan to recognize a Palestinian state at the upcoming United Nations’ General Assembly.
