Safety standards in the vehicles we drive have evolved over the years. But if automakers want to be in the running for the industry’s most coveted safety awards, their brand-new inventions will have to start incorporating a new range of features. That’s according to driving columnist Lorraine Sommerfeld, as she explains in one of her latest articles. The most prominent idea, in her view, is a form of technology that can determine if a driver is under the influence. Sommerfeld joins Kristy Cameron on today's Ottawa Now.

Doctors should discourage teenagers from dieting because it can be dangerous to their physical and mental health, according to new advice from a panel of Canadian pediatricians.
