  Ontario could raise campaign donation limit, scrap fixed election dates under new bill

  Ontario’s Attorney-General is proposing to get rid of fixed election dates in the province, in a bill that would also see the limit for political donations raised to $5,000 and make public funding for political parties permanent.
Doug Downey introduced legislation today to do away with what he calls “American-style” fixed election dates.
    Police in Waterloo charged a teenage girl in connection with the collision that sent four youths to hospital earlier this month.
