The contractor hired to rehabilitate a century-old bridge in Kingston, Ont., that was demolished after a failed repair job is suing the federal government and an engineering firm that investigated the incident for more than $8 million.

The Canadian Paediatric Society is calling for better regulation and safety measures to protect kids riding off-road vehicles, including all-terrain vehicles and side-by-sides.The society says children and adolescents make up about a third of off-road vehicle deaths.
