Measles, a virus considered to have been eliminated in Canada in 1998, has made a significant comeback in Ontario. There have also been recent cases in Quebec and New Brunswick.Measles cases surge in Ontario, with nearly 200 cases in past two weeksOn Thursday, Public Health Ontario said there have been nearly 200 cases reported in the province in the past two weeks, which is more than in the decade between 2013 and 2023. Most cases have been identified among unvaccinated children in the Grand Erie and Southwestern public health units, located south of London.
