Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Thurs. March 27th, 2025

March 27, 2025
An Ottawa-based travel company says they have failed to sell a single American bus tour since U.S. President Donald Trump announced tariffs on Canadian goods. According to Travac Tours, a trip to New York City is one of their most popular options, and it has been for years. That is, until we got to the first day of February. Fast-forward to late-March, and the company isn’t even planning any U.S. trips. Oh, and if you already booked one for this year, it could be on the chopping block. Travac Tours owner Karl Gildner joins the program in Hour 3. But first, it's time to tackle today's Question of the Day, which once again revolves around U.S. President Donald Trump. Liberal leader Mark Carney plans to speak with Trump in the coming days to address the incoming barrage of tariffs. Until things simmer down, Carney doesn't consider the U.S. as a reliable trading partner for this country. How can we negotiate with the American boss? Do you think that's even possible? Text into the show and let us know.
