Christine Sinclair, Diana Matheson say they feel grateful as NSL launches

Former Canadian soccer players Christine Sinclair and Diana Matheson are feeling grateful ahead of the first-ever game for the Northern Soccer League. Matheson founded the new Canadian professional women's soccer league and Sinclair is a part owner of the Vancouver Rise, one of the six founding teams. Both say they're looking forward to how the league changes soccer in Canada.
The claims are rising, even as Ottawa cuts the number of study permits it issues, with Prime Minister Mark Carney pledging to return Canadian immigration to 'sustainable levels.'
