Five former Canada world junior hockey players plead not guilty in sex-assault trial

Five members of Canada’s 2018 world junior hockey team pled not guilty to sexual assault this morning in a London, Ont. courtroom.Tuesday marked the first time that Michael McLeod, Carter Hart, Alex Formenton, Dillon Dubé and Cal Foote have appeared in court together since they were charged in connection to an alleged group sexual assault of a woman in a hotel room after a Hockey Canada event in June, 2018. Mr. McLeod also faces a second charge of being a party to sexual assault.
