This past weekend, OC Transpo unveiled its ‘New Ways to Bus’ plan. It's aimed to connect more riders to LRT service, shortening bus routes and boosting transit reliability all across Canada’s Capital. Nearly every single bus route has either been changed, redesigned, or re-numbered to serve OC Transpo’s ultimate goal – reaching service reliability targets of 99.5 percent. Even still, Ottawa’s daily transit users remain skeptical. Ottawa Transit Riders co-founder Kari Gylnes-Elliott joins Kristy Cameron in Hour 2. Over in Renfrew County, their biggest problem isn’t public transit. It’s a confirmed case of the measles. Dr. Paul Roumeliotis drops by for a visit. Plus, a vigil is being held at Parliament Hill tonight to honour the lost lives of Vancouver’s Filipino community. This comes after a horrific SUV attack took out 11 lives at a weekend street festival. We hear from one of the event’s main organizers.
In total, 5,250 cartons of unstamped tobacco, eight pounds of cannabis, 200 cannabis resin vape products and more than $3,500 cash were seized during the investigation.
