Supreme Court refuses to hear youth-led climate policy case, sending it back to lower court

Seven young activists are a step closer to holding the Ontario government to account for its weakened greenhouse gas emissions target after a court victory in a groundbreaking climate change lawsuit. The Supreme Court of Canada on Thursday denied the Ontario government’s request for leave to appeal a lower-court ruling that found its climate plan must comply with the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
The Competition Bureau sued Canada’s Wonderland over alleged drip pricing, claiming the park misleads customers by not showing full prices up front.
