The earliest memories I can recall of missing my mother happened repeatedly on Saturday nights, when I was about three years old. Library and Archives Canada (LAC) has hired Eric Chan, an Ottawa artist who blends art and technology, as its first creator in residence. Chan's work will dive into the history of Chinese immigration to Canada, he said, using the millions of records of Chinese-Canadians stored in the archives.
