The last time Krista Johnston played water polo she was 10 years old in swimming lessons. Forty years later, looking for a workout that wasn’t aquafit, she signed up for a Friday morning water polo drop-in at her local Kelowna, B.C., pool, expecting, at that hour, to swim with other people roughly her own age.
