The Canada Post strike continues, with a countrywide overtime ban in place and day-to-day operations mostly undisrupted. On Sunday, CUPW met with federal mediators to respond to Canada Post’s latest offer. They have since issued their own response to those proposals, and they hope to hear from Canada Post management in the coming days. Until a resolution is found, local businesses are doing all they can to safeguard themselves. Kristy Cameron chats with Gareth Davies, who is the owner of a gift shop on Wellington Street West called ‘Maker House’.
