Markham sports coach charged with sexual assault of young person

A 58-year-old sports coach from Markham, Ont., is facing sexual-assault charges after numerous alleged assaults over nearly a decade. York Regional Police say they began investigating last month when a person reported being sexually assaulted several times between 2014 and 2015. Police say the alleged assaults began when the victim was under 16 years old.
