Hour 4 of Ottawa Now for Tues. May 13th, 2025

May 13, 2025
Downtown restaurant owners are putting the City of Ottawa on blast over a recent pondering of extended parking fees. This idea would stretch parking fees into the evening hours during weekdays, as well as various weekend hours. Some call it a ‘cash grab’, a term that Beacon Hill-Cyrville councillor Tim Tierney is pushing back against. He joins Kristy Cameron to outline his thoughts and views on this debate. Plus, as you might have seen on today’s edition of CTV’s Power Play, Vassy Kapelos went 1-on-1 with Canada’s Prime Minister about a variety of subject matters. One of which, of course, was Mark Carney’s brand-new Cabinet. We air a few portions of that conversation before signing off for the night. You can also watch the full interview anytime on the CTV News website.
