Drones show orcas using kelp to groom each other

Researchers say improved drones have helped them spot southern resident killer whales using lengths of bull kelp as tools to groom each other and as a way of socializing. Lead author Michael Weiss says researchers haven’t seen marine mammals use such tools before.
