Cambrian Road between Borrisokane Road and the Apolune Street and Elevation Road intersection to close for construction

June 27, 2025
Cambrian Road between Borrisokane Road and the Apolune Street and Elevation Road intersection to close for work related to the Trail Waste Facility’s groundwater gradient control system project. Beginning July 2 to late August, Cambrian Road, between Borrisokane Road and the Apolune Street and Elevation Road intersection, will close for work related to the Trail Waste Facility’s groundwater gradient control system project.   Cambrian Road will reopen in late August. Borrisokane Road southbound will then close to traffic and remain closed until November 2025. Northbound traffic will be maintained.   This project will construct a row of purge wells at the Trail Waste Facility to collect and convey groundwater through 2.1 kilometres-long twin force mains to the existing sanitary sewer system.   The road closure is required for the safety of residents and workers.   The expected road closures are as follows:
  • Cambrian Road will be closed from Borrisokane Road to the intersection of Apolune Street and Elevation Road in both directions.
  • Southbound movements at Cambrian Road and Apolune Street/Elevation Road will be restricted with no ability to cross the intersection southbound until approximately July 25 due to work within the intersection
  • There will be two weekend closures at the Borrisokane and Cambrian roads intersection during the transition of work from Cambrian Road to Borrisokane Road.
  • When Cambrian Road reopens in late August, Borrisokane Road southbound will close to traffic and remain closed until November 2025. Northbound traffic will be maintained.
Detour signage will be in place, please plan ahead.   To learn more, go to: Trail Waste Facility groundwater gradient control system | City of Ottawa
