A Newfoundland couple’s romantic message in a bottle was found 13 years later on a beach in Ireland. Martha Farrell, co-founder of the Maharees Conservation Association in Ireland, found Anita Squires, one half of the now-married couple, through the group’s Facebook post about the bottle.
Staffing challenges at hospitals in Prince George and Kamloops mean expectant parents needing specialized care may need to be transferred to other hospitals.
