As the days keep getting warmer, the parking blitzes are becoming more frequent. We have already seen it multiple times in Ottawa’s Downtown Core. And now, we are getting some news tips from the suburbs. CTV’s Natalie Van Rooy joins the program in Hour 2. Turning our attention back to the Downtown Core, the number of federal workers roaming the streets has shrunk ever since COVID hit. Five years later, that industry is getting smaller and smaller, especially this year. Today, we are learning more about the recent decline, and how deep it runs. CFRA’s Chris Holski hands us the data.

Residents and business owners in Jasper, Alta., are at risk of running out of insurance coverage for additional living expenses and business interruption, as delays in rebuilding after last year’s wildfire continue to challenge the town, an industry association warns.The Insurance Bureau of Canada said in a new report that, while rebuilding efforts are progressing, only 56 of the 358 properties destroyed in the western Alberta town have as of July 7 received the necessary permits and approvals to proceed with the restoration of homes and businesses.
