A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in southeast Edmonton's Maple Crest community, reigniting concerns about emergency access to the neighbourhood.
The White House said Trump was raising the tariff rate because Canada "has failed to cooperate in curbing the ongoing flood of fentanyl" and imposed retaliatory tariffs.

For several years in the mid-2000s, I worked at the Victoria Conservatory of Music, where I managed a program for keen young musicians. I had met the virtuoso bassist Gary Karr earlier in my career.
