Private plane crash near Ottawa airport leaves pilot dead, two passengers injured

Ottawa paramedics say a man is dead after the small airplane he was piloting crashed into trees near the city’s airport on Thursday.
Emergency crews responded to a wooded area near Riverside Drive and Hunt Club Road just before 6 p.m. after reports that the small plane crashed.
The Toronto Blue Jays have reinstated all-star catcher Alejandro Kirk from the seven-day injured list.
