It’s been one of those summers where the A/C has to be turned on and jacked up 24/7. Heatwave after unrelenting heatwave, people are constantly looking for different ways to cool down. And in the middle of this borderline-dangerous heat, A/C businesses have been flexing their muscles. Tim Suitter, the co-owner of Capital City Heating and Cooling, pays us a visit in Hour 2. According to a new report from Equite Association, car thefts are down 19 percent across Canada in the first half of 2025. Well, when compared to this time last year, at least. Here in Ontario, it’s a 25.9 percent drop. But how is Ottawa faring in that department? We dig deeper with Bryan Gast, the National V.P. for Investigative Services at Équité Association. A 25-year-old man who police allege forced his way into a home during the night in Welland, Ont., and violently sexually assaulted a young child inside has been arrested and charged.
