Ottawa’s new zoning bylaws could allow for the construction of 3-storey buildings in all neighbourhoods across Canada’s Capital. The City of Ottawa released an update on the final draft ahead of September’s public consultations, which include an open house at the EY Centre on the 23rd. In suburban areas, the height of a high-rise building would be limited to 18 storeys when located farther than 600 metres from a transit station. He works with the Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association, and he is in favour of the new zoning rules. Then, we pick the brain of Matt Lemay, who works with the Civic Hospital Neighbourhood Association. But first, we bring you up to speed on today's top headlines, starting with today's federal Cabinet meetings in Toronto. CFRA's Andrew Pinsent has more on that.
