Is stunt driving becoming a bigger problem in Canada’s Capital? According to an ever-growing crowd of concerned city councillors, such as Barrhaven West councillor David Hill, it has. In his ward, Hill says that street racing has become a re-emerging issue since he first took office in late-2022. Since the first day of 2025, 179 stunt driving charges have been laid by Ottawa Police, spanning across all areas of the city. Hill joins Kristy Cameron to vent his frustrations on today’s Ottawa Now.
Trevor Livingstone, who runs a brewery near the U.S. border in Franklin, Que., says it's now common to see migrants hiding, detained by RCMP, or awaiting pickup.
