A Canadian man was reportedly shot dead during a golf trip to the U.S., multiple local news outlets are reporting.

Giovanni Michael “Mike” Robinson was killed during a drive-by shooting as he was walking back to his hotel, the family told WTMG . Robinson was a new father and was walking back to his hotel with his brother-in-law, NBC26 reports. Robinson became a father to a baby girl this year in August, his family told CTV News , noting that he was born in Stouffville, Ontario .

The incident reportedly took place early Wednesday morning and is being investigated by the Wisconsin police. “Despite life saving measures and immediate medical attention, the victim succumbed to their injury,” Sheboygan Falls Police Department said in a statement. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.

So far, the motive remains clear and no arrests have been made, WBay reports.
