Ottawa Now - Mayor Sutcliffe unveils 'encouraging' development on Lansdowne 2.0

Earlier today, Ottawa’s Mayor delivered an update on the Lansdowne 2.0 redevelopment and construction approval plan. Mark Sutcliffe said taxpayers should be encouraged by this announcement, with the annual investment down from an estimated $5 million to $4.3 million. Following a previous LRT construction debacle, CTV’s Leah Larocque asked if there were any reservations with choosing the lowest bidder. Sutcliffe says there are significant contingencies in place to prevent similar challenges and similar scenarios from creeping up.
