People who lived at Ontario Training Schools are suing the province, alleging abuse was rampant at the children's detention centres. Nearly eight years after a class action was launched, the case is still stuck in the civil system. Lawyers say it’s another casualty of underfunded courts.
Cities with high concentrations of students have seen the steepest declines in rents since Ottawa placed a cap on international students, a report by Rentals.ca showed on Tuesday.
