More frequent flash floods are ‘the new reality,’ but Canada may not be ready

The Built Heritage Committee today directed staff to undertake a Heritage Conservation District (HCD) study and prepare an HCD plan for Island Park Drive. To be designated as an HCD, at least 25 per cent of properties in an area must meet two or more of the nine criteria for designation outlined in the Ontario Heritage Act.
